About Us - Maine Retailer of Cloth Diapers, infant & toddler swim wear, & accessories
Hello,
Thank you for stopping by Everyday Diapers. My name is Michele, I own and operate Everyday Diapers. I am happy to help you with your cloth diapering needs. You will communicate with me directly in your endeavors with Everyday Diapers. My every effort goes into making your cloth diapering experince a great one, from purchase to potty training. My goal is to provide cloth diapering solutions that you can use easily, affordably, and have fun with everyday!
I am a work at home/stay at home mom of two, my oldest is a boy (2003) and my youngest a girl (2006). We are now expecting number 3, due to arrive on or about September 5th, 2008!
Everyday Diapers was inspired by my daughter, who at the time was 6 months in age. We discovered my daughter was sensitive possibly allergic to the chemicals in "paper diapers" at approximately two months of age. She had some issues that I was told could cause her infections throughout her childhood until she reached puberty. I, the research it mom, went to the internet and found blogs from other parents saying that cloth diapers had cleared up similiar problems in their children. So, I approached my husband with this idea and we both had the same reaction, "Ugh, Cloth Diapers!"
Then, I learned of the products available today! Certainly not the diapers of our parents and grandparents generations! "These things are even Daddy friendly!" was my husbands reaction after a couple of daddy diaper deeds. At four months, we took our daughter for her checkup and the pediatriation was amazed to see that there were no more issues. In fact, he was going to add a tip on his website for other parents dealing with similiar issues. At six and nine months still all clear!
There are so many benefits to cloth diapering that I never knew! Some of which include, the cost of cloth diapering is less than disposables, reduction of solid waste from disposable diapers deposited in landfills that does not break down, and less chemicals in contact with baby's precious bottom! Todays cloth diapers are wonderful, easy to use, easy to clean, great for the environment and baby too! My qualifications to meet your expectations and provide a shopping experience you will enjoy begin with being a mom of 2 wonderful children. I have personal experiences using the products you may be interested in purchasing.
The technical details of my background may or may not interest you, but I have listed them just in case. I have earned a Bachelor's Degree from Husson College in Bangor, Maine and a Master's Degree in Business Adminstration from the University of Maine at Orono.
I look forward to working with you. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.
Sincerely,
Michele Mahar
